The event was held on the eighteenth day of February, when 4:30 pm, in Room 144 of Building Sciences. It was a room about nine rows and had almost a hundred people. Most people were of Hispanic origin with the exception of a few people from other ethnicity, but was no translation for the event. Alejandra Sanchez was the director of the film Bajo Juárez and gave the conference. The first part of the video clip was very interesting because it showed what was happening in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico through the years with women abducted, raped and murdered. Scenes were very strong and well-prepared interviews with the families of the murdered women. The documentary was focused on a girl named Lilia Alejandra, who had just turned his fifteen years and have two sons I leave behind when he died. It also showed how people, especially the mothers of the murdered women, were tired that the government did nothing to stop organized crime. That led to start the organization of "our daughters back home," which stuck pink crosses in the places where the dead women were to draw government attention. The director said that politicians and men with money are those who have caused this web of murder and several organized crime groups. One of the questions at the end of the clip was, "All the women were part of maquiladora factories? The answer was yes, many factories were part of school but there were also girls. I really enjoyed this conference because it educates everyone on what is happening women in Mexico.
